“Nightingale is our 8th video project collaboration with HAKEN – we’ve been so fortunate to have been able to work with the band on multiple occasions in order to create visual accompaniments to their brilliant music. For Nightingale, we took inspiration from the song’s single artwork, created by a fan of the band (Rein Van Oyen) as part of an HAKEN artwork competition. We wanted to create dark, abstract cinematic scenes to complement the song’s lyrics. There are multiple scenes in the video that are shown from the perspective of a nightingale bird, flying through a city illuminated only with sharp red and blue colour hues.”
